At Hideaway Domes we want you to “Stay Your Way” and enjoy your visit to us and the Mudgee Region in the best way that suits your needs, likes and dislikes.

For those of you who wish to feel the vibe of the thriving Mudgee Region, you are near a wine, food, culture, and nature lover’s paradise. Over 30 cellar doors, award winning restaurants and cafés, art installations, a new art gallery and renowned natural landscapes, historical sites and wonders will keep any energizer bunny entertained each and every day.

Wine & Food

Only a short 6-minute drive away, Burnbrae Wines is the closest vineyard and cellar door to Hideaway Domes. With a gorgeous award-winning cellar door and wines and pizzas and tasty platters available on the weekends, often accompanied by regarded local musicians, Burnbrae is a must visit during your stay.

A little further down the road, is the Honey Haven, a renowned Mudgee institution. The Honey Haven offers guests the chance to taste and purchase a wide range of traditional and flavoured honey’s, mead and some lovely gifts. The attached café also offers coffee and light snacks. Or for those of you who wish to dine out in town or on something more substantial, please see the Dining Out section in the Mudgee Visitors Guide where there are many options for you to consider. Bookings are recommended.

Seclusion

Our specialty!! For those of you who are looking for total remoteness and tranquillity, our Dome, “Amaroo” offers you the chance to get away from it all. Perfect for solo travellers as well as couples, “Amaroo” lives up to its name which means ‘beautiful place’ and offers travellers who are seeking a rejuvenating escape the perfect location to glamp in secluded style.

Perched high above the farming action and in a private nook set amongst beautiful and natural bushland, you will feel like you are a million miles from anywhere.

Enjoy gentle strolls around the property or vigorous hikes to higher ground for the freshest of air and ultimate in country escapism, or if it is much needed nothingness that you need, simply languor by the fire pit enjoying each other’s company, a good book or some beautiful Mudgee wine.

Star Struck

The starlit skies at Hideaway Domes are genuinely awe-inspiring and something that all of our guests love. And, with the Mudgee Observatory, located just across the road from us, you can get even closer to the amazing night sky, with a visit to the observatory where you can learn more about the celestial sea above you. Let us know if you are interested and we will organise a visit for you. There is usually a small fee associated with the visit, payable directly to the observatory.
